Our first posed pic in the pool.  Still can't get them both to smile at the same time much...but I'll settle for all eyes on me.  lol

Practice....

She's doing really well about getting more comfortable in the water....much better than last year!  I think watching Hannah's swim lessons has helped.  She likes to "practice" now too.  Floating (sort of)....

And bubble blowing.  Now, we just need to remember to lift her out of the water every few feet for a breath.   She was enjoying this so much that she forgot to lift her own head up and sucked in a LOT of water.  Ruh roh....But three cheers for Abigail on her "swimming" progress!

Playing catch up...

It's been such a weird summer...cooler than normal and busy with Hannah's swim lessons, so Abigail has not been in the pool much.  We realized last week that we did not have a single picture of her in the pool this year.  SO....this day was "all about Abigail".  We all had fun swimming, but I was doing all I could to make up for lost time.  Ha ha!

I showed the last 3 photos to Hannah the other day and she told me this one is her favorite.  I asked her why and she said, "I like what I'm doing in it."  So cute.  It was completely natural...and VERY Hannah!  Abigail, as usual, looks suspicious.  lol.

Proud...

Love how Hannah looks like such a proud big sister in this one.  A little cheesy, but SO sweet!

Slice of real life...

We took a walk together the other day when the girls were in their cute matching outfits.  I wanted some pics and they were really good to stop at two or three spots along the ways for a quick shot.  But this is the one that cracks me up...the one at the end of the walk.  I think they were done.  Ha ha!

The aftermath...

We've had the weirdest summer, weather wise.  So much cooler than normal.  In fact, we've had to cancel swim lesson twice because it was just too cold for the kids.  Hannah was waiting for her towel here...shivering.  She was super grumpy after this...So we learned that we better get her dry quickly and get her fed.  Guess the littles burn a lot of calories in the pool just trying to stay warm!

Ruh roh...

Hannah and Abigail love the way that Kara and I say "ruh-roh" instead of "uh-oh"...You know...Scooby Doo.   At any rate, After all that bubble blowing, Hannah had a surprise burp.  Ruh-Roh....cue lots of silly laughter!

She's been taking lessons with another little boy, so they take turns.  I shot this while she was waiting.  Cutie.  Love seeing her so happy in the water!

Sunny Days...

 

I have a lot to learn about water photography, and especially on a day with full sun like this.  At any rate, Hannah has been taking swim lessons for the last couple of weeks at our pool.  I love that she still closes her eyes when she's kicking.  She is not a big fan of water in the face yet.  lol
