Waiting in line...

Love this little missy, just waiting in line to go on the monorail.  It happened to be the first day it was open after extensive repairs that took over a year.  I did not love the ride, being uncomfortable with heights...but the kids sure enjoyed it.

Birds of a feather...

A waddled crane..and her egg!  Cool to see that.  She was rolling her egg over and over in her nest.

Macaws...

Not tacky when they're real...

Pink flamingos are tacky most of the time, but not when they're real.  Ha ha....This was a fun close animal encounter where they instructed about flamingos.  My favorite flamingo is the one in the black sweatshirt!  lol

Safari girls...

Love the Wilds of Africa exhibit.  The girls were happy to climb up in the jeep.  Sadly, there's a weird reflection on the windshield from the netting hung above.  I did what a could in processing, but no way to fully eliminate it.

Zoo Day...

Still playing catch up.  These were actually taken the end of March when we 

enjoyed a zoo day with the kids.  We always have to take a picture at the elephant statues.  Glad Kara could come with us too!

For my mom...

I'm mainly including these pictures because I know they will be of interest to my mom.  Kara asked me to come and take yearbook photos of her middle school orchestra classes since she missed the regular photo day at school doing contest prep.  It was fun for me to see Miss Taeger in action and to see the students she's told me so much about.  It takes a special person to teach middle school.  The term "herding cats" comes to mind.  Such sweet kids...but BUSY!

And a test shot of the two of them together.  I can rarely get four eyes looking at me though...so I'll settle for four eyes open and looking up.  Cuties.

Toothless...

H lost yet ANOTHER bottom tooth in March.  She currently has two wiggly top teeth too, but I think it will be a while before they fall out.  BTW, I bought a soft box light for indoor photos.  ?I wouldn't exactly say I've mastered it yet, but I do think it's going to be helpful for the girls' birthday photos in December and January when it's too cold to shoot outside and almost ALWAYS a gloomy day.  lol.  I think my ISO was too high this day, so these aren't as clear as I would like, but i do like the effect of the lighting better than flash. It's an umbrella style soft box so it's easy to assemble and doesn't take up much storage space. 

Everywhere you turn...

Everywhere you turn, there is something beautiful.  Tulips, azaleas, and even apple blossoms.  So pretty!

I like this coy smile....and the beauty of the scene behind her.  It was a really gorgeous day!
