Unbrideled joy...

Abigail had such a great time at the playground.  This child loves to run!  I wish I could capture her funny way of doing it...hips wiggling, arms flailing.  It's bad I know, but we love to call her "spaz"...because well, she just IS.  But trust me, Abigail, it's a term of endearment.  We love you and all your silly ways!

The kissing booth is now open...

 

We took the girls down to the school playground the other day.  It was fun to see how much they have both grown in confidence and independence.  More pics to follow of them playing, but I loved this moment when they looked through the little play window.  Looks like a kissing booth to me.  All they need is a sign and a jar for their money.  lol.

Miracle of miracles....they actually let me get a shot of both of them where they are both looking...(sort of).  Aren't they too cute in their little school girl skirts?!

My paradise...

I do not dream of glamorous resorts or exotic places.  Paradise will always be home for me...especially when I can be surrounded by the people I love.  I've been spending a lot of time flat on my back since my "swan dive" on the ice, but I'm grateful I can still cozy up with the littles to read a favorite book.  I love that both Hannah and Abigail will sit and listen to long stories from the Bible.  A little bit of heaven on earth for me. 

BTW, I set up the camera and asked Jenny to snap this for me.  As I work on the girls' memory books, I find there are few photos of me with them.  I still don't like being on this side of the lens, but want the girls to have memories of me doing something other than hiding behind the camera.  I actually love how this turned out.  It will be a good memory for me of this time of enforced rest.  It is proving to be a lesson in patience.

Bright eyes...

The girls were feeling cooperative Friday and I was able to capture some pics of them that I really love.  This was my fave of Hannah...looking SO grown up.  I posted this for Project 52 theme of "Bright".  I just loved it when she flashed me a big, natural smile and aimed those baby blues right at the lens.  I'm not sure I'll actually finish the project this year.  I missed a few weeks and am not feeling motivated to catch up.  But, if I can capture something for the theme pretty easily, I will join in the fun.  That's the beauty of this particular project...no pressure!
