"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Cheap entertainment...

Last Christmas, Kara received a gift from a friend that was wrapped with this unusual ribbon from Container Store. It's made like a cylinder and, even after it's been tied in a bow, it springs right back into shape. It's so much fun to play with that we saved some for Hannah's toy box. Bob and Nathan like to squeeze the ribbon up as tightly as possible, then let it go suddenly, saying "BING!". It's guaranteed to get laughter from Hannah. And, ever the mimic, she has to try it herself. She squeezes it the best she can, lets it go and says "Hannah ming". Again...fits of giggles. Better than any expensive toy on the market!

My shutter speed wasn't quite fast enough for Hannah's motion, but ask me if I care. :)

Longing...

Hannah loves to be outdoors and often stands at the door saying, "Hannah walk". It won't be long before she figures out how to open doors by herself. Until then, we'll see a lot of this...

I'm not sure what I love most about these pics... the floppy bunny draped over her arm, her rolled up pants legs, or those teeny tiny pigtails. So sweet. On this Grammy Day, she spent the whole day with us, instead of just the morning. It was a great day for pics, so expect more in the next few days.

Before we had Wii..

We don't actually have a Wii system, but it makes a good title, right? This was shot for the challenge of "from ground level". I've done so many shots from ground level, it was hard to come up with something new. lol. I was grateful for Emma's help on this one! Raise your hand if you remember playing hopscotch. Emma knew how to draw the pattern, but I had to teach her the rules. Of course, I had to check online to refresh my own memory. :)

Berrylicious...

Shot for the challenge of "begins with B"...Without intending to, I seem to have created a set of berries. So far, I've shot blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Guess I better get to work on strawberries!

Long time friends...

I started to put "old friends" as the title...after all, it's the name of a great song...but it didn't sound so good. Hits too close to home! :) We enjoyed spending a few hours with our friends Jan and Greg a couple weeks ago. We were members of the same church in Tucson back in the 70's and early 80's. They've lived several places since then, but recently moved to OK.

This is the first time I've ever been fully satisfied with the focus in a shot like this with remote shutter release. I finally figured out how to do it! Yay me! I hope that makes this year's Christmas photos easier. :) It was great to see our friends....we hope not to wait more than 20 years this time!

Do not disturb...

Clearly I interrupted her nap and she was not too happy about it.

More of Jenny and Nathan...

Creative title, huh? At any rate...more shots from Labor Day.
