"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Wonder of wonders...

Miracle of miracles....they actually let me get a shot of both of them where they are both looking...(sort of).  Aren't they too cute in their little school girl skirts?!

My paradise...

I do not dream of glamorous resorts or exotic places.  Paradise will always be home for me...especially when I can be surrounded by the people I love.  I've been spending a lot of time flat on my back since my "swan dive" on the ice, but I'm grateful I can still cozy up with the littles to read a favorite book.  I love that both Hannah and Abigail will sit and listen to long stories from the Bible.  A little bit of heaven on earth for me.

BTW, I set up the camera and asked Jenny to snap this for me.  As I work on the girls' memory books, I find there are few photos of me with them.  I still don't like being on this side of the lens, but want the girls to have memories of me doing something other than hiding behind the camera.  I actually love how this turned out.  It will be a good memory for me of this time of enforced rest.  It is proving to be a lesson in patience.

Bright eyes...

The girls were feeling cooperative Friday and I was able to capture some pics of them that I really love.  This was my fave of Hannah...looking SO grown up.  I posted this for Project 52 theme of "Bright".  I just loved it when she flashed me a big, natural smile and aimed those baby blues right at the lens.  I'm not sure I'll actually finish the project this year.  I missed a few weeks and am not feeling motivated to catch up.  But, if I can capture something for the theme pretty easily, I will join in the fun.  That's the beauty of this particular project...no pressure!

My valentines...

I have not blogged in almost a month.  If you remember my last post referred to a fall on the ice.  As it happened, I fractured my sacrum in two places and have spent much of the last 4 weeks flat on my back.  The doc projected a 3-6 mo. healing time.  Ugh.  At any rate, I have not been chasing the girls around with my camera like usual and can only tolerate short periods of time at the computer for processing.   I am trying to gradually get back into the swing of things.  I took these on Valentine's Day.  They are not particularly high quality, but at least they preserve a fun memory.  Kara bought me a little cookie decorating kit with 5 heart cookies and prepackaged frosting and sprinkles.  I was thankful, because I wasn't really up to baking yet and the girls are not patient enough for big projects anyway. This was just enough for them to have some fun.

They sprinkled...

and sampled the sprinkles...

 "Look Grammy, it's a heart..."

Finished product....

So proud of herself!

All in all, a fun day!!  And I love having little girls to celebrate!

BTW....if you are like me, you may not know what the sacrum is.  I had to go to the internet for an anatomy lesson.  Follow this link if you want to see a diagram.  http://teachmeanatomy.info/back/vertebral-column/diagram-of-the-sacrum-coccyx-and-pelvic-bones-2/

Or you could just be like my doctor and express it in layman's terms:  I broke my butt.  lol
