"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18)

The lady wears wears red...
When we picked up our spring bedding plants, I indulged and bought a container of ladybugs again...safely stored in my fridge. I know....cheating, but I don't care. I RARELY see them around here and enjoy shooting them....so don't be surprised if you see them again soon! lol This one was THIRSTY...which worked out really well for me, because it meant she actually stayed still for a moment. I LOVE the mock face on their back...presumably to ward off predators. What a God we have to design such a small creature so beautifully! And this one is even quite fashionable!

The Watcher in the Window...
Shot for week 17 of the 52 week project. Theme was "beauty is". I always like to use Hannah or Abigail for the project if I can, because the goal is to have a year's worth of photos that represent what has happened in your life each week. So...on this day, I saw beauty in that spot of light on an otherwise gray day. We had some men working in the yard, laying out a new lawn (yay!). Hannah, as usual, preferred to watch from a distance. :)

Dog Walker...
As we played outside on that beautiful day, we got to visit with neighbors....the two legged AND four legged variety. So proud of Hannah for being brave enough to pet Robin's beautiful Teagan. It was a little out of character! :) You can see that Abigail is right in the middle of it. No hanging back for that child!

Little mama...

I did a LOT of purging of things we don't use/need before we moved out for the remodel last summer. It was such a mountain of STUFF, but the great part was coming across things I had forgotten...like Kara and Jenny's Cabbage Patch dolls and a few other treasured toys. Hannah was thrilled when I brought Kara's baby doll out...complete with the clothes I smocked for her and the velcro diaper I made. (Holy Cow...I was a good mother! lol). She named her Eliza. :)
BTW....These two photos are such a great example of how much lighting affects the mood of a photo. They were taken on the same day...within minutes...but one was next door and the other across the street. I like them both, but I LOVE the light in the top photo...that little bit of backlight highlighting individual strands of hair and the sparkly bokeh in the shrubs. Yummm!

Chunky monkey...
She ALMOST looks chunky here...but trust me, it's an illusion. She is a real lightweight. And she's always on the GO, so it's rare to get a moment of her sitting still like this.

Radio flyer...
First wagon ride of the season! Love that Abigail has picked up Hannah's tradition of carrying my Kleenex for the ride. Cuties!!!
